BID Services with Deaf People,

Deaf Cultural Centre, Ladywood Road, Birmingham, B16 8SZ

 

 

Tasks Involved: Befriending Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people either in their homes or within the community to reduce risk of isolation

 

Skills needed: Good communication skills. To work with Deaf BSL users you will need a minimum of BSL Level One.

 

Benefits to Volunteer: You will be paid travel and substance expenses. You will gain experience of working within the Deaf community and issues surrounding such.

 

Times / Days: Flexible; depends of your availability. Can be Mon - Sun, Morning, afternoon or Evening.
