IT Buddy (Around Solihull) Tasks Involved! ReCOM is looking for Buddies to visit people who are tied to the house for whatever reason to teach them to use a computer, for example, to keep in touch with friends, or write a letter or shop on line. Benefits to Volunteer: Working in the community - helping individuals to improve their quality of life and independence. Occasional training opportunities. Expenses paid. Times / Days'. IT Buddy Computer Club - Solihull Area Tasks Involved! ReCOM runs weekly computer clubs for the over 55's in the Solihull area. We are looking for volunteers to help on a weekly basis. Club members often want, for example, to keep in touch with friends, or write a letter, know how to use a digital camera or learn how to shop on line. Times / Days: Computer Clubs - 2 hours a week various days and times (no evenings or weekends) Special Requirements: This role is subject to satisfactory references and CRB check. IT Buddy Technical Support Acocks Green Tasks Involved! ReCOM provides low cost pc's and buddies to people who are tied to the house for whatever reason to teach them to use a computer. We are looking for volunteers who are able to set up an internet connection, resolve software difficulties, reformat and re-install operating systems and related software if pc should crash. Skills needed: Enthusiasm, extensive knowledge and experience of computer maintenance. Benefits to Volunteer: Helping individuals to improve their quality of life and independence.
