SOLIHULL CHILD CONTACT CENTRES

(CENTRAL SOLIHULL AND SMITH'S WOOD)

 

Tasks Involved: We provide a neutral meeting place for children from broken relationships to meet with their absent parent where no other arrangements can be made.  Volunteers provide general support (a listening ear) and assist relationships to develop through play.

Skills needed: General common sense and an ability to get on with adults and children.

 

Benefits to Volunteer: Volunteers develop the skills to work as a member of a team, to help members of their community to enjoy the benefits of family life and experience the joy of enabling a child to build a relationship with an absent parent.  Travel expenses are paid for volunteers travelling to Smith's Wood

 

Times / Days:  Saturdays 2 -4 pm every month or six weeks.

 

Special Requirements: nterview and Criminal Record Checks required
