VOLUNTEER SHOP ASSISTANT

Tasks Involved: Areas of voluntary work under supervision will include:

• answer the telephone and take bookings for mobility equipment
• ensure the booking diary is kept up to date
• assist with issuing equipment
• help to ensure all equipment is given to customers on a safe and clean condition
• assist customers, with shopping where required
• assist with the rescue of any broken down vehicles in the town centre
• accompany customers for shopping companion service
• actively promote the Shopmobility service and ensure that a friendly and welcoming service is available at all times for customers
• monitor the development of the Shopmobility service by keeping accurate records of usage
• other such duties as many be required.

Times/Days: Half day shifts, 9.30am - 1.00pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday, 11.00am - 4.00pm Sunday
